I've made it easy to start training your cat with this beginner series. In the first part of this cat training tutorial, your cat will learn to follow a finger target. In the second part, you will use the finger target to guide your cat over a leg jump. Consider this a warm-up series that you can start even before you get your clicker training tools. Watch the end where I have my first session with a neighbourhood cat named Tego. When I'm training my cat Jones, I substitute the clicker for a verbal market, 'YES'. When I'm out with Tego, I'm making a clicking sound with my mouth. Both are fine for this easy tutorial, but when we work on more precise tricks, like high five, you will need your clicker training tools.
